"I loved this study. As a table leader, it was nice to get to know some women better than I had known before but also new ones I've never met. It was exciting to get to study God’s Word like this and to study with others. My love for God’s Word grew. When I started reading 1 Samuel and finished, I needed to turn the page. So, I kept reading and ended up reading all of 2 Samuel because I wanted to know more. I was hoping for this to happen, that this study would grow my desire to want to know more.

At our table, we talked about how we saw over and over the sovereignty of God with cooperative and uncooperative people throughout this book. Growing up, I heard these big stories from the bible of these people, but not so much with the in-between stories. There were ladies who were new to the Bible and knew little about the Old Testament, and then we had ladies who grew up in church, who were Bible study leaders, and seeing everyone come together and helping each other to understand and from a fresh perspective was beautiful. The table I was at was the best and full of amazing women. I think that all of us came away with a better understanding on how to study the Bible with fresh eyes and a deepened love for the scripture. I hit the jackpot with my table!

Personally, one of the things God has been revealing to me is prayer. Studying and seeing the difference between Saul's approach to prayer versus David's approach with prayer is something God is showing me. David's response was that all he had and all hope was in God. He lived in a posture of dependence. I am coming to learn and understand this for myself that prayer is a posture of dependence on God and a recognition I have nowhere else to turn.

I'm excited for what God is going to do with the next women’s study!

If you were a part of the 1 Samuel study, find out what happens next and register. If you are new to the study, it is not too late to jump in. We have a great study coming. I can't wait to get to know all about David and his reign and noticing all the interesting things and making old stories new. The quality of the study questions is excellent and helps train us in asking these kinds of questions ourselves for any passage we study. It’s been a great tool and plus, you don’t want to miss out on the community. It's great!" - Christine Oswald
