Citylight Church is made up of people who live on mission to multiply disciples throughout our city. We gather on Sunday mornings for worship as the body of Christ and we scatter throughout the week to bring His light wherever He has planted us. We are not a place with programs, we are a people on mission. We love to connect people to live out their callings and present opportunities for them to engage their time, talents, and treasure in these areas.

Serving the Church

Sunday serving teams are vital to the life of Citylight Church. They are a vehicle to build relationships within our church family, to share ownership of the mission of the church and to increase our discipleship as we become like Christ in our sacrifice of time, talent and energy. From parking cars to making disciples in Citylight Kids, every humble act of service is needed and valued. Our teams are joyful, committed and brimming with grace.

Whether you have one hour per month or 15 hours per week, we have opportunities for you to invest your life in kingdom work. Sign up below for more info about Sunday Serving teams and to find the best fit for your gifts and availability.

Serving the City

Citylight Church is not just a Sunday morning worship gathering, but a people mobilized in every corner of our city to bring the light of the gospel to a hurting world. Our primary vehicle for living on mission in Omaha is through City Groups. Additionally, we engage our community through neighborhood outreach initiatives including Block Parties, Camps, and special events.

We have also established many strategic partnerships that we come alongside that are meeting tangible needs in Omaha. We partner with each of them in various ways and we would encourage you to get involved. To learn more email Sarah, sarahm@citylightomaha.org.

Welcoming Refugees

Omaha is a refugee resettlement city, and hundreds of families are slated to arrive here in the next year. We want to step into radically loving these new neighbors as Jesus radically loved us. There are opportunities to donated needed household items, volunteer to set up an apartment or provide relational support to newcomers.

Citylight Pantry

We want to provide food to those in our community who are food insecure, elderly, and/or high risk. We will be collecting, packing, and delivering food and toiletry items to homes throughout the city. We will also be providing care and prayer support among other opportunities. If you could benefit from one of these services, or would like to help with this effort:
