Missions Trips are BACK!!! We believe the gospel is a global message meant to be shared, and right now there are millions of people who have no access to the gospel unless we go and tell them! This summer Salt Company (College Ministry) is taking TWO different kinds of missions trips. Apply today and help us take the gospel to university students who have never heard! 

In light of current travel restrictions, Citylight Omaha does not have any short term mission trips scheduled.

If you are feeling called to participate in one of the following trips, apply as soon as possible to give you ample time to prepare for the trip and raise funds. Trip application deadline for all trips is December 31, 2019. Team sizes are limited and teams will be built on a first-come, first-serve basis.

2022 Salt Company Trips

Salt Global Taiwan | 6 - 8 weeks | Cost TBD
Summer internship trip open to upper class students. We will be going to Kaohsiung, Taiwan where we will partner with a local church to take the gospel to university students. There are 150,000 students in the city, and only 3% of the population is evangelical Christian (with that number dwindling). Come help us bring the gospel to the next generation of Taiwan!

Bangkok, Thailand | 2 weeks | Cost TBD
This trip is open to freshmen or those who are just looking to get exposure to overseas missions - think immersion experience. We will be going to Bangkok Thailand to partner with a church that is passionate about taking the gospel to college students at one of the top universities in the city. We will also experience their Red Light District ministry where they are intentional to minister to women and children in that area of the city.

2020 Citylight Trips

Jamaica | July 11-18 | $1800 | THIS TRIP IS FULL!
This team will spend a week at City of Refuge Children’s Home in Content Gap, Jamaica. We will build relationships with the children, sharing the Gospel and discipling through activities such as VBS and American Flag Football. We will also support and encourage the caregivers throughout the week. This trip is appropriate for adults of all ages, older teens, and younger teens when accompanied by a parent.

CL High | Guatemala | June 22-29 | $1650 (subject to change)
Our team will partner with Calvary La Esperanza to invest in their community by serving the teachers and students of local schools, assisting with service projects as needed, and proclaiming the Gospel through street evangelism.

Our team will be trained by and work with the Envision among a diverse people, many ethnicities representing the people groups hardest to reach with the Gospel. Our team will meet, love, and serve the neighbors through kid camps, service projects, prayer, and evangelism.

This team will spend 10 days in Guatemala working with a local church in Quetzaltenango. Students will get a chance to disciple Guatemalan youth and worship with a new church plant in a nearby town, evangelize on the streets, and pray for people. All this and more will happen alongside other missionaries from the US and Mexico who now live in Guatemala.

This team of Middle School students will be serving in south Los Angeles. They will be partnering with Envision, a ministry of the Alliance, and the various ministries they operate to reach out to the community, show compassion, disciple, and help in church planting efforts.

This team will spend 14 days in Bangkok working with the Alliance Envision Team. Students will get an opportunity to build relationships with locals through evangelism, English language exchange, and sports ministry. Other Trips

Ecuador | March 16-24 | $2,895
This team will be based in Cuenca, Ecuador (elevation 8,400 feet), the center for the Verbo church, which partners with Global Health Outreach.  We will offer a free clinic that will provide medical, dental, eyeglasses, and pharmacy. The plan is to travel to a more needy and remote areas outside of Cuenca, and return each evening to our base. Anyone is welcome to join us on this trip that has a passion for good deeds leading to the good news (gospel). This is not a Citylight sponsored trip but offered in partnership with CRU and GHO.
