Biblical Counseling

Citylight, we believe that everyone is broken and in need of a savior! We thank God that He sent His Son to save us from death and bring us into eternal life with Him! We also know that along this road there are still real struggles that everyone encounters, and until that day that Christ comes back or we go meet with Him we are unfinished products.

We all need to be surrounded by a community of believers to encourage and help direct us to God’s Word.  The counseling ministry is here to aid in helping people understand what God’s Word says about life’s struggles and emotional pain.  If you feel you would benefit from biblical counseling at Citylight we would love to meet with you!

Counseling Team

Counseling Pastor, Sam Reece, works alongside a team of biblically-based lay counselors who will walk with you through any stage of life: difficulty or celebration!  The main objective is to connect you to the saving and transforming power of Jesus Christ, to connect you to the work He is doing in your heart by looking at the Word of God, the Bible.

Who can participate

Anyone who attends Citylight can participate and will be encouraged to be in a community of believers to help support and encourage you. Citylight scatters into small groups throughout the week called City Groups. If you would like to investigate one of these communities, you can find a list of groups on the City Group page.

What to expect

When you call or come in seeking biblical counsel, you will be asked some specific questions regarding your situation and then a pastor or lay biblical counselor will contact you to set up your first meeting.  You can expect your meeting to last 45 minutes to an hour, and further meetings will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

How to get started

This ministry is provided free of charge. If you are interested in receiving counsel for a particular season or situation in life, we can connect with you, share the road with you, or get you in touch with someone who will care for you well in this time.
